About our theme: Rise, Thrive, Repeat
Minnesota’s health and human services (HHS) system is at a turning point. The COVID-19 pandemic forced us all to shift course, and we adapted quickly to deliver services in new, innovative ways. The demand placed on our workforce was – and continues to remain – high, leading to turnover, burnout, and overall exhaustion.
We’ve been asked to do more with less, and have encountered resistance when we advocate for those we serve – and for ourselves. Additionally, as HHS professionals, we continue to grapple with how we have perpetuated racism and oppression, and how we must change to be more equitable and inclusive.
At MSSA, we believe it’s time for a culture shift. We envision a brighter future for Minnesota's HHS system.
This year’s conference focuses on empowering HHS professionals, fostering a culture of support, and building sustainability in our work, while centering anti-oppression, equity, and inclusion.
