Student Opportunities at the Annual Conference

Students are tomorrow’s health and human service leaders and a key part of MSSA’s membership. MSSA’s Annual Training Conference and Expo is a great place for students to build their professional networks, make real world connections to coursework, and interact directly with health and human service organizations.

Here’s why students should attend the conference:

Share: Student Poster Session and Showcase
The Student Poster Session and Student Showcase are opportunities for students to share their research and knowledge. Students who have been working on a project, thesis, or dissertation are invited to submit a proposal for a poster and/or a showcase presentation.

Learn: 100+ sessions on a variety of topics
Learn about emerging trends, practices, and approaches in health and human service work from state and national leaders. Increase your knowledge, enhance your coursework, and earn CEUs (if licensed).

Network: Connect with professionals and organizations
More than 3,000 health and human service professionals attend the conference every year, and the Exhibitor Expo features hundreds of organizations that are hiring or sharing resources. This is a great way to build your network, learn about opportunities, gather resources, and kickstart your career. Plus, all students will receive an invitation to a special networking session during the conference!

Join: Free MSSA Student Membership
MSSA offers free memberships and discounted conference registration rates to students. All full-time students in a health and human service degree program are encouraged to take advantage of free student memberships. Student membership is valid until one year after graduation.
